WHAT IS FUSE:
Fuse is the weekly gathering of the TC3 Student Ministry. We're dedicated to providing a place for students (6th-12th grades) to connect and fuse with God, other students, and with older committed leaders that are dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Christ.
Our Student Ministry at TC3 is geared towards meeting the needs of our middle and high school age students. Our goal is to reach them wherever they are at in life with the message of Jesus Christ and empower them to help each other grow spiritually. This is accomplished through biblical teaching, relative worship, and meaningful relationships.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
At Fuse you can expect to walk into a lively, yet comfortable and relaxed atmosphere where many students will be playing games, chowing down on some food, and catching up on each other's week. Expect to have fun, be challenged by God’s Word in an area of life that you can relate to, and to develop and build stronger relationships with others.
WHEN CAN MY STUDENT ATTEND:
6th-8th grade (Middle School Fuse) will be on Sundays during the 2nd service: 10:30 – 11:30 am.
9th – 12th grade (High School Fuse) will be on Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm.
WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND WEDNESDAY NIGHTS:
From school to practice, to homework, to some...a job, etc., our student ministry knows that each family and especially the students have busy lives. However, we strongly encourage all of you to make Fuse a top priority in your life because we regard your spiritual life and growth as the most important part that you live out and develop. If you cannot make it Wednesday night, there are plenty of other ways to stay connected to whats going on.
IN THE SCHOOLS
Pastor Tom is very involved in the public schools in the area. He co-leads a Christian group called First Priority that meets on Mondays after school in the choir room of Jensen Beach High School from 2:45-3:45. Tom also teaches another group at JBHS called FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students) on Wednesday mornings from 8 – 8:40 in the Library classroom. You will also find Tom at Stuart Middle School on Friday mornings from 8:15-8:50 teaching the First Priority group there in Mr. Bickley’s room in the 6th grade pods. These groups are Christian groups that meet on their school campus, and are great ways to get to know the other Christian’s in your school.
Each month, Fuse gets together for at least two events outside of our normal Wednesday night gathering. Some events are simple, like going to the beach together, volunteering at the Bridge Christian Outreach Food Pantry, or doing water sports on the inner-coastal together. Some events are more complex, like doing weekend retreats, going to Christian conferences, mission trips, Summer Camp, Ski/snowboard trips to North Carolina, etc. Some are more spiritually focused, while others are all about just having fun and connecting relationally to one another.
We strongly encourage all of our students to be discipled by an older adult leader from FUSE. Our discipleship is based on a life on life relationship structure. This is where an adult youth leader from FUSE will get together with a student outside of the church walls (whether its 1 on 1, or 1 on 3) to help them grow in their relationship with God. This time is focused on a number of things. It allows the student a safe and trusting avenue to share what’s REALLY going on in their life, what God has been teaching them, if they have been growing spiritually or not, talking about different issues they may be facing at school or at home, what sin areas they may be struggling with, etc. These adult leaders will spend time praying together with the discipled student, and studying God's Word with them all while helping them relate God's truth to their life. This is the meat of our youth ministry and is where the most spiritual growth happens!
